Fun fact: I had made some different sprites for the game, before remaking them into the ones we now know and love today...

Here are a few examples: (left is before, right is after) I haven't looked back at the old sprites in a while, so this will be fun to compare.

Don't know what I was thinking when I decided to shade the gold-brown jumper with blue...but actually, the colour schemes for the uniforms are one of the few things I kept the same. The blue lighting on her hair makes me happy though. I think I've also improved at drawing clothes. Sometimes I do wonder why I decided to make her shirt collar like that, but I like it.

Is it just me or does the red shading make him seem a lot more saturated? Also, looks like Ray's hair covered his face much more.  I drew the old sprites in Krita, and the new sprites in Procreate. The thinner lineart suits his hair much better, I find. I also found an easier way to draw his lace tie, with an outline brush.

Mr Silversaw is definitely my favourite to draw. Just look at his hair and his suit...he's so pretty. The green eyes are much clearer too, in the old sprite, they looked a bit too blue-ish. The way I draw him has definitely changed the most.  If you're especially curious, you may have already seen his old sprite in the form of something hidden in the files...

Ms Alsudo got a very, very slight redesign somewhere down the line, because the new sprites were using new colour schemes picked from some Copic colours. I'm glad I did that because the old one kinda makes my eyes hurt...

I think that looking at the old and new sprites helps me to see how I've progressed as an artist. I drew the old images last Winter, so it was enough time for improvement. I wonder how much I'll progress in another year...

Anyways, that's all I've got for now. Maybe when I get around to drawing the sprites for new appearing characters, I'll share them here, too. I'm also thinking to make some character profile posts.
